Awards contribute greatly to ones capacity to excel as an individual.
MCG aspires that through awarding dedicated learners, students in the fields of Actuarial Science, Statistics, and Mathematics would be inspired to achieve more and aim to be part of the Actuarial Society.
On April 12, 2018, MCG recognized two Cum Laude awardees, who are scholars of Applied Math from PUP Taguig: Shiena Sangalang: the determined dreamer, and Jonna Mae Balunsay: the dedicated homemaker. Both Shiena and Jonna were awarded the Feliciano Miravite Excellence Award as well as monetary gifts for their competent performance in Academics.
Along the journey of success, hindrances are unavoidable. Thus, MCG yearns to continuously show support to the dedicated learners as they believe that rewarding hard work empowers students to achieve beyond expectation.
There is a brighter future for those devoted and dedicated learners, and just as Alan Alda said, “Awards can give you a tremendous amount of encouragement to keep getting better no matter how young or old you are.”
“To inspire and encourage the passionate students enrolled in the fields of Actuarial Science, Statistics and Mathematics” is the aim of MCG— not only through awards, but through mental trainings as well.
58 students from PUP Taguig were sponsored by MCG to participate in the Dream, Believe, Achieve Seminar held in the Asian Institute of Management, Makati City last April 27, 2018.
Dream, Believe, Achieve is an annually held seminar conducted by the Actuarial Society of the Philippines designed to stir the passion of future actuaries and to encourage them to pursue a career in the actuarial field.
One of the three main speakers was MCG’s very own Chief Executive Officer Mr. Romeo Abada who inspired the youth as he discussed strategies, preparations, and other essential information for the aspiring students.
MCG encourages the future actuaries to dream big and as they inspires them to believe that through hard work and dedication, they may achieve success. As they say, “Let us dream, believe, and achieve our goals together.”
Retirement plans has been distinguished as Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC), the difference— only some people fully comprehend.
Thus, MCG conducted a seminar called The ABC of DB and DC: A Seminar on the Dynamics and Economics of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Plans.
The discussion which was attended by CHROs, HR Heads, as well as Comp&Ben Officers intends to educate MCG’s valued clients regarding the difference between the two retirement plans and for them to switch to the better alternative.
The market thought leader of the campaign and the subject matter expert, Mr. Romeo H. Abada, MCGs Chief Executive Officer, discussed the benefits of switching from DB to DC and clarified the concerns of the attendees.
MCG believes that it is never too early nor too late to find the right retirement plan, especially one with a unique experience for employee engagement.
